Worlds of Books

On March 16 we will discuss THE MONSTER OF FLORENCE by Douglas Preston. This is true crime, the story of a serial killer in Italy, with whom the author becomes personally involved. It is available from bookshare and on BARD as DB66942.

On January 19, 2014, we will discuss MY BELOVED WORLD by Sonia Sotomayor, the first person of Hispanic descent to be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Find this book on BARD (DB 76059) or as a braille book from NLS.

We discussed CHRISTMAS AT THE MYSTERIOUS BOOKSHOP, edited by Otto Penzler (DB72892). This is a collection of short stories, all of which have two things in common: they are mysteries and have some connection to Christmas.

Worlds of Books will present author Katherine Ashenburg at our regular time on Sunday, September 15. We read her book THE DIRT ON CLEAN in the spring. She will tell us about her background, talk about her books, and answer questions.

Worlds of Books” will meet on January 20 at 5:00 PM EST to discuss Matthew Algeo’s HARRY TRUMAN’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE: THE TRUE STORY OF A GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP. It is on BARD (DB69543).
