This Saturday July 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon we will be discussing getting a g mail account and setting it up with Outlook or outlook Express. Using Outlook or Outlook Express is a lot like using MS Word. Many of the commands you are used to using for working within word work in either of these programs as well. With Outlook you have advantages that can be useful for keeping track of appointments, contacts and more. We will speak a little to e mail etiquette. We look forward to seeing you here.

If you are coming on Access, plan to arrive by 9:45 or earlier. If you are coming on Access, you will need to schedule your drop-off for the back gate which is at the rear of the Junior Blind at the corner of Alviso and 54th. Pickups should also be scheduled on or after 12:15 PM from the back gate. If you have a cell phone, it is a good idea to give that as a callout number.

If you need it for Access, the main address for Junior Blind of America is 5300 Angeles Vista Blvd. in the View Park area of Los Angeles. The nearest large cross streets are Angeles Vista and Valley Ridge.

When you arrive at the back gate, dial 111 so that dorm staff can let you in.

For those of you who will be accessing from a remote location using a computer, we will arrive by 8:00 Saturday morning, so we will be ready to test the online conference room by 9:15. Following are instructions for accessing Accessible World Meeting Room. If you log in on Saturday morning, start at 9:15 or so that you will be sure that you can participate.

When you click on the direct room link listed below, you are taken to the initial sign-in screen where you simply select the download client button. If you already have the download client on your omputer, you can skip this part. If an update is required, however, you will want to download it. There would be no need to uninstall a prior version as the most current software will install over the older version. When the installation is complete, requiring only a minute or less, you should then run the program. When that is finished, you will again be in the original sign-in screen. Tab to the enter room button and pess Enter.

Enter your name. Non-moderators should then tab past the password field, and press enter on the log in button. That's it.

Now, here is the direct link:
