The Accessible World News Wire, Indianapolis, Indiana USA
This week's Books and Beyond Internet Talk Show hosted by Bonnie Blose will explore Experiences Zilka Joseph has had living in two countries. As a published poet in both India and the United States, Ms. Joseph will share her perspectives on lifestyle differences and their impact on her creative work.
Zilka Joseph was published in The Telegraph Magazine, Care Magazine, and Amrita Bazar Patrika when she lived in India. In the U.S., her work has appeared in journals such as Paterson Literary Review, Rattle, Bear River Review, Connecticut River Review, Gatronomica, Review Americana, and in Cheers To Muses: Contemporary Works by Asian American Women. Her book, Lands I Live In, published by Mayapple Press in March 2007 was nominated for a PEN America Beyond Margins Award.
Currently she is pursuing the 2008-2009 Elsie Choy Lee Scholarship awarded to her by the Center for the Education of Women, University of Michigan and is teaching workshops in the Detroit area.
Not only will the virtual audience find the formal interview interesting and informative but also will be entertained listening to Ms. Joseph read some of her poetry.
