The Accessible World News Wire, April 26, 2008 Indianapolis, Indiana USA
Are you aware that 160,000 kids miss school everyday due to bullying and school violence that 950,000 students across the United States bring weapons to school every month, and that Schools now report over a quarter of a million students per month are being physically attacked during the school day? These statistics clearly indicate a problem of nearly epidemic proportion and one that needs meaningful solutions.
This week's Books and Beyond guest, Derek Randel, 12-year high school and middle school educator and President of Randel Consulting, Inc., believes he has solutions and is spending much of his time sharing them with others via radio and television appearances, workshops, his written documents, and leadership as a certified step-family coach through the Step-Family Foundation in New York City.
Along with his wife, Gail Randel MD, he has authored the following books: Attacking Our Educators, Parent Smart from the Heart, Stopping School Violence, Bittersweet Moments, and The Parent Manual. These and his other books are available for purchase on Amazon.
Following the interview by Host Bonnie Blose, the virtual audience will have an opportunity to ask questions about his views on putting the fun back into parenting and how to keep relationships with children on the right path.
