The Accessible World News Wire, March 30, 2008 Indianapolis, Indiana USA
Longtime DFW radio personality and current host for Zig Ziglar's weekly Inspire Podcast on ziglar.com, BLAKE LINDSAY will be the guest on this week's Books and Beyond, the Internet Talk Show hosted by Bonnie Blose and sponsored by the Accessible World.
Throughout the show, blind and visually impaired individuals will identify and share his trials and tribulations of developing habitation skills in a sighted world, his passion for radio, his career in radio as a disc jockey, experiences making a win-win partnership with employers who gambled hiring him, How he overcame the challenges of transportation, modified the work environment to compensate for his lack of eyesight, and how he met other challenges of competing in a sighted world.
In his first book, "Out of Sight Living: A Sightless Person with 20/20 Vision," Blake shares true stories about the challenges and opportunities he experienced growing up in a sighted world empowered by a family's encouragement that equipped him to be self-determined and achievement-motivated. He attributes his accomplishments to a strong belief system, a positive heart attitude, and a fighting determination to move from self-sufficiency to a life mission of inspiring and serving others. His is a story of gratitude and optimism in a negative and sometimes ruthless world. Blake definitely epitomizes ZIG ZIGLAR's premise that “It is not where you start in life, but how you finish that counts."
Following the formal interview, the virtual audience will be encouraged to ask questions of this super achiever.
