Accessible World's Tek Talk is pleased to present Louis Herrera and the Eye-PAL, and Eye-PAL SOLO. The EYE-PAL is a stand-alone, computer driven scanner. It is a one-pound portable USB device. The foldable stand, designed specifically for the blind, holds a digital camera over the printed material to be scanned. The camera is always at the exact distance needed to create a clear image. There is no need to adjust the camera. Louis will describe how Eye-Pal's patented motion detector can scan 20 pages per minute.
